Terms of Use
Last updated :
By using the Adawate Muslims app (أدوات المسلم), you accept these terms. Please read them carefully.
Contents
The service
Adawate Muslims is a free app supporting Muslim practice: prayer times, Quran, memorization, adhkar, zakat, moon sighting, radio and lessons, and a Halaqat space where a sheikh teaches the Quran to students. It is published by Adawate Muslims, Marrakech, Morocco.
Religious content and calculations
Prayer times, qibla direction, zakat calculations and Hijri dates are calculated using recognised methods, but remain support tools. When in doubt, refer to your mosque, your country’s religious authorities and qualified scholars. The Quran text comes from the King Fahd Complex; please report any error so it can be checked and corrected as a priority.
Account
Some features require a profile. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give and for keeping your password and recovery code confidential. An account is personal. A minor must use account features with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Rules of conduct
In halaqat, chats, live comments and uploads (recordings, documents, photos), you must not:
- post illegal, hateful, violent, abusive, defamatory or pornographic content, or content disrespectful of the Quran and religion;
- harm a child in any way (see our child safety standards);
- harass, deceive or impersonate anyone, or collect other users’ data;
- send unsolicited advertising, fraudulent links or malware;
- bypass security measures or disrupt the service.
A chat message, its author or a halaqa can be reported from the app; any other content can be reported to us by email. We may remove content and suspend a halaqa or account in case of breach, and cooperate with authorities.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post. You only allow us to host and display it to the people concerned (members of your halaqa, listeners of a live stream) to run the service.
The sheikh’s role
The sheikh who creates a halaqa is responsible for organising it and moderating its members and chats. He undertakes to respect these rules and the privacy of his students, especially children.
Intellectual property
The app, its code, design and marks belong to Adawate Muslims. Recitations, hadith, tafsir and lessons come from cited sources and remain the property of their authors.
Availability and liability
The service is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it available and accurate, without being able to guarantee it. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for interruptions, loss of data that was not backed up, or the use made of the information provided.
Termination
You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Moroccan law. Before any action, contact us at contact@adawatemuslims.com to look for an amicable solution.
