Child Safety Standards
Last updated :
Adawate Muslims welcomes students of all ages in its Quran halaqat. Child safety is an absolute priority: we apply zero tolerance towards any form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Strictly prohibited
- any sexual content, message, image, audio or video involving a minor;
- solicitation, grooming or any attempt to isolate a child from their parents or halaqa;
- sharing information to locate or contact a child for malicious purposes.
Our measures
- Each halaqa has a responsible sheikh: he approves each join request or opens enrolment to everyone, can remove or ban a member and moderates the chat.
- A chat message, its author or a halaqa can be reported from the app; we review reports involving children first.
- The sheikh can block a member in the halaqa chat.
- Little data is requested from children (category and birth year, no full date of birth) and no targeted advertising is shown.
- Once a breach is established, we suspend the account and hide or delete the halaqa.
Report a problem
In the app, use Report in the menu of the message concerned or on the halaqa page. For other content (document, recording, live comment), write to us. Our child safety contact: contact@adawatemuslims.com.
When we become aware of child sexual abuse material, we remove it, preserve the necessary evidence and report it to the competent authorities (in Morocco, the General Directorate for National Security; internationally, NCMEC or the competent national body). In case of immediate danger, call the police (19 in Morocco, 112 in Europe, 911 in the USA).
Compliance with the law
Adawate Muslims complies with applicable child protection laws and cooperates with authorities. These standards complement our terms of use and privacy policy.
